Prompt Engineering
In recruiter context
In 2023 prompt engineering was hyped as a standalone profession; in 2026 it's a core skill embedded in AI Engineer and AI Product Manager roles, not a job title. Strong prompt engineering treats prompts as production code: versioned, A/B tested against an evaluation set, separated into system / few-shot / user-input layers, and reviewed in PRs. The structure that works is Role + Constraints + Specifics + Ban list (see the recruiter-tested ChatGPT prompts guide for resume writing). Companies that treat prompts as throwaway notebook strings ship inconsistent AI features; companies that treat them as code ship reliable ones.
